There’s nothing quite like a real book …

One of the little-appreciated, almost forgotten aspects of movie history is the short film. Here’s a brilliant new example made up of stop-motion photography and set to inspirational music that literally makes the real-life bookstore depicted come alive, all in under two minutes.

I wish my books did that …

What’s great about short films is that they’re over long before you get bored with them. You’d think that in an age of diminishing attention spans they would be more popular than ever.

But the only time they get any notice is during the Academy Awards telecast where they are nominated in three or four categories, which is frustrating as few viewers have heard of, let alone seen, the titles nominated.

Let’s help correct that …
