I find the wait for A/V materials, including DVDs not at all unreasonable. In fact I am usually pleasantly surprised at how fast the reserve list moves. Keep up the good work!!

The Great Courses program I purchased was “The Middle Ages”. I was extremely disappointed because all the lectures were fragmented. The disc started in the middle of one lecture, then jumped to the second lecture and then back again. Obviously the company has no Quality Control program as all 20 discs were complete nonsense.

If you really want services to go beyond library doors, record them and make them available via loan or download. This service could include talks by invited guests, book reviews, film reviews, new technology talks, play readings, etc.
The ebook/audiobook service is wonderful – how about some other programs recorded to dvd, cdrom, audio download.
